Earlier this year, at our Design+Sports event, we had the pleasure of meeting Ingrid Green – founder of the 90, an after-school program which combines soccer and STEM. Ingrid’s vision was to get Watts South LA 5th grade girls involved and engaged by channeling their creativity. To achieve this she hosted the Soccer Jersey Design Competition, with AIGA LA participating as volunteer judges. We were absolutely blown away by the incredible artistic expression of these young minds and are looking forward to finding more opportunities for getting involved in our local community through art, design, and other creative outlets in 2018.
